Press and Online Communications Assistant at UK's leading overseas equine welfare charity, the Brooke (job based in central London)
The Role
This creative role within the press team is an exciting dual opportunity which focuses on developing traditional PR and web writing/web 2.0 communication skills.
You will be generating and updating content for the Brooke website and working closely with the Online Communications and Development Manager to help implement the charity’s new social media strategy.
In addition you will be sourcing stories from both UK and overseas sources and pitching them to the regional media. With the help of volunteers, you will be providing administration support for the press team and manage the charity’s multi-media library.
Criteria
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills (online & offline), an interest in social networking online and knowledge of the workings of a press office. The postholder will need incredible attention to detail, the ability to juggle a multitude of tasks and be an excellent communicator.
