The National Academy on an Aging Society and The Gerontological Society of America are looking for students who want hands on experience in Social Media andMarketing. You will gain skills in non-profit social media management and event marketing. Qualified candidates should have enthusiasm for social media, excellent time management skills, and experience in social media and/or marketing.
Responsibilities:
Manage various communication initiatives including Twitter, Facebook, and Linked-in
Assist with sponsor recruitment and creative development
Use social media to advertise participation in our upcoming conference and student contest
Perform other duties as assigned
To be eligible for consideration, you must:
Be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with at least a 3.0 GPA
Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills
Be available for a minimum of 8 weeks
Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Possess initiative and the ability to work independently
Experience with website management is a plus! We use Joomla! and Dreamweaver
