What are some ways an Art Gallery can create an active online community?

First of, I'm so glad I found this site! It's a wealth of information and ideas...
My company - www.thefuschiatree.com is an online art gallery that aspires to become a hub for art lovers and artists. We have a comparatively young online presence (Facebook, Twitter, Vox, MySpace, Flcker), and I would love to brainstorm on how best to proceed in creating a vibrant art community and driving interaction and open dialogue.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
